Dave Wagner
Dave Wagner has been performing professionally since
childhood. While growing up, he would often perform
with, and be a guest soloist for, Masterworks Chorale,
St. Louis Bach Society and the St. Louis Symphony.
Dave attended the University of Illinois where he
majored in vocal performance. He spent two years performing with the a cappella group
The Other Guys, where he met David Reeder and Brian
Siedband. During this time, he was fortunate enough
to perform in such venues as Yankee Stadium, Avery
Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, and the Eugene O’Neill
Theater on Broadway. After graduating college, Dave
opened Super Buddha Recording Studios in Chicago.
However, Dave never stopped performing and writing
music. Often he would make guest appearances with
local Chicago groups singing at such venues as House
of Blues. When a major radio station held its own
“Chicago Idol” contest, Dave gave serious thought
to getting back into performing. After placing third
out of nearly 5,000 people, he decided to get out
from behind the mixing console and start singing again.
Dave has since released a solo CD of original music
and has established an 11 piece band. In 2004, he decided to call up Brian Siedband and David Reeder and try to talk them into starting a new a cappella group. You may have
heard of them since then. |
